HL Deb 09 December 1976 vol 378 c684
Lord ABERDARE

My Lords, I beg to move the second Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That a Select Committee on the Standing Orders be appointed; and that, as proposed by the Committee of Selection, the Lords following, with the Chairman of Committees, be named of the Committee:

—(Lord Aberdare.)

The Earl of LAUDERDALE

My Lords, before we part with this matter, may I ask whether this Committee, which did not meet in the last Session, will meet in this?

Lord ABERDARE

My Lords, much will depend on the question of the reference of the Aircraft and Shipbuilding Industries Bill to the Examiners because the Standing Orders (Private Bills) Committee is involved in subsequent procedures.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
