Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to provide for a Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom in place of the Police Council for the United Kingdom, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

  1. (1) any sums required by the Secretary of State to enable him—
    1. (a) to pay to the Chairman and to any deputy chairman or chairmen of the Board established under that Act such fees as the Secretary of State may determine with the approval of the Minister for the Civil Service; and
    2. (b) to defray any expenses incurred by that Board; and
  2. (2) any other administrative expenses of the Secretary of State incurred by him in connection with that Board.—[Mr. Britton.]
