Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to extend the provisions of sections 1 and 2(1) of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 to Scotland, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase in the sums payable out of moneys so provided under any other enactment which is attributable to any provision of that Act as so extended imposing a duty on a local authority having a duty under section 12 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 to make particular arrangements in the exercise of their duty under that section if they are satisfied in the case of a chronically sick or disabled person that it is necessary to make those arrangements to meet the needs of that person.—[Mr. Rossi.]
