§ 25. Mr. Marquandasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has considered a report of the results of the official visit of the Member for Natural Resources of British Honduras to the United States of America and Guatemala: and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. ProfumoI understand that the Member for Natural Resources recently visited the United States to investigate certain possibilities of the utilisation of the resources of British Honduras forests, and visited Guatemala to inquire about the system of oil prospecting licences there. The Member made a public statement on these visits at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly on the 7th June. I have not seen the text of this statement, but this is primarily a matter for the 1503 local Government, and I should not, in the normal course, expect to receive a report.
