asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he will make the necessary arrangements to avoid transferring again, temporarily. Civil Servants, who in some cases have been evacuated for seven years from London; and at the earliest date formulate plans indicating the place of their future employment.

We shall try to avoid further temporary moves, but the accommodation position remains so difficult that I cannot make any firm promise. Permanent arrangements will be made as soon as possible.
