HC Deb 15 November 1944 vol 404 cc1933-4
6. Mr. Lees-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, due to Czechoslovakia coming within the Russian sphere of influence of military affairs, we are precluded from sending to that country all the armaments which we are in a position to send.

Mr. Law

No, Sir. The expenditure of the resources at our disposal is governed by strategical factors and technical limitations which are the constant study of the Chiefs of Staff.

7. Mr. Lees-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what help has been given to Czechoslovakia in armaments, clothing, and medical supplies during the past six months from this country.

Mr. Law

As regards military assistance I have nothing to add to the reply which I have just given my hon. Friend. I can however state that certain medical supplies have recently been despatched to Slovakia.
