HC Deb 26 January 1944 vol 396 cc662-3
1. Mr. G. Strauss

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his inquiries have now been completed on the appointment of Fillipo Naldi as Press Chief in Naples.

Mr. Eden

No, Sir. The accusations against Naldi are still under investigation. The attention of the Allied Control Commission has been drawn to the case.

Mr. Strauss

May I ask whether the right hon. Gentleman is investigating in particular the accusation widely made against this man that he was one of the prime movers in the murder of Matteoti?

Mr. Eden

I have drawn the attention of the Commission to it and it is for them [...] express a view.
