HC Deb 22 September 1943 vol 392 c201
52. Mr. Ivor Thomas

asked the Prime Minister whether he will take steps for the convening of a conference, on an equal footing, of leading representatives of the United Kingdom, the United States and the Soviet Union, for the prosecution of the war and the establishment of a durable peace?

The Prime Minister

I have at present nothing to add to the statement I made on this subject yesterday.

Mr. Thomas

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether Mr. Cordell Hull proposes to attend the conference of Foreign Secretaries in person?

The Prime Minister

That would be a very proper question to raise in the Congress of the United States.
