HC Deb 09 November 1943 vol 393 c1081
49. Mr. Parker

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government regard the principal recommendation of the Uthwatt Committee, relating to the immediate vesting in the State of the rights of development in all land lying outside built-up areas, barred as a possible subject of legislation by the present Parliament?

The Prime Minister

No, Sir. But until the present review of this matter in all its aspects has been completed, I cannot say what form any legislation will take or how soon it will be ready.
