HC Deb 26 January 1943 vol 386 cc353-4
45. Sir T. Moore

asked the Prime Minister whether he has studied the reports coming from the United States of America regarding the formation of a United Nations War Council; whether, as a result, he has given reconsideration to the many suggestions of this nature made by Members of this House; and what is his decision?

The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Eden)

I understand that suggestions of this nature have been canvassed in the United States as in this country. I have nothing, however, to add to previous statements which have been made in this House on the subject.

Sir T. Moore

If I put a Question down in a week's time, may I expect a more definite reply?

Mr. Eden

I do not think I can give any undertaking on that subject. I thought my reply was pretty definite.
