First Sitting Day—Committee stage of the Civil and Revenue Departments' Vote on Account. A Debate will take place on the Transference of Labour.
1949 Second Sitting Day—Second Reading of the Hydro-Electric Development (Scotland) Bill and Committee stage of the necessary Money Resolution.
Third Sitting Day—It is proposed to move Mr. Speaker out of the Chair on going into Committee of Supply on the Army Estimates, 1943, and consider Votes A and 1 and Army Supplementary Estimate in Committee
§ Mr. Rhys DaviesI made an appeal last week for a Debate on the provisions of the Atlantic Charter. In view of the great interest shown by all the political leaders in the United States in this problem, would the right hon. Gentleman reconsider my request, especially in view of the fact that we have had 100 signatures to the Motion from Members of ail parties?
§ Mr. EdenI have seen the Motion and the signatures to it, but I do not think I could give any undertaking at present.
§ Mr. TinkerCan we have any further information on the Bill dealing with old age pensions? Three weeks have gone by and nothing has been done.
Miss WardHas my right hon. Friend any statement to make on the question of the shackling of prisoners, and has any answer been received?
