HC Deb 10 February 1943 vol 386 cc1311-2
46. Captain Cunningham-Reid

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the fact that this is the fifth war for which Germany has been responsible in less than a century, the Government has a plan to prevent her starting a sixth war?

The Prime Minister

This is certainly a fitting subject for thought, and will acquire more precise importance when the present unpleasantness has been ended satisfactorily.

Captain Cunningham-Reid

Has not Germany by her shameful record forfeited her right to nationhood? That being so, have the Government considered the policy of "No more Germany, no more war"?

The Prime Minister

I think that these are very large topics to embark upon at Question Time.

Mr. Stephen

Will the right hon. Gentleman also take into consideration the seventh and eighth wars?
