Mr. Ellis Smithasked the Secretary of State for War whether he can make a statement on the results of the special committee in the War Office that has worked out the details for the organisation of the proposed engineering corps-on what date did the committee start their consideration of the question; and can he give the names and qualifications of the committee?
§ Sir J. GriggI cannot yet make a statement. The committee was formed on 28th March, 1942. Its members are War Office directors, including those responsible for the technical control of the corps and services involved in the organisation of the new corps. The chairman is a major-general who has had both administrative and technical experience.
