HC Deb 09 December 1942 vol 385 cc1537-8
4. Mr. Boothby

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the possibility of setting up a Supreme Council of the United Nations is under consideration?

Mr. Eden

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by the Prime Minister yesterday to a similar Question by the hon. Member for Eye (Mr. Granville).

Mr. Boothby

Does the right hon. Gentleman consider that the arrangements which at present exist between the Allied Governments for consultation and decision at the highest level are really adequate to the requirements of the time?

Mr. Eden

My right hon. Friend said yesterday that they are the best that can be contrived.
