HC Deb 19 February 1941 vol 369 c160
67. Sir Henry Morris-Jones

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that the present incidence of the Purchase Tax as between doctors and chemists leads to great anomalies and difficulties; and whether he will appoint a technical committee within his Department to re-draft the list of drug sat present scheduled?

Captain Crookshank

I have no reason to think that the operation of the Purchase Tax has the effect suggested, but if my hon. Friend cares to send me the information on which he bases his statement I will inquire into the matter.
