Morrisasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider authorising the use of motor-cars and utility cars of His Majesty's forces for giving lifts to civilians in cases where the direction and length of journey is not interfered with, as, up to now, it has been disagreeable to officers in charge of such vehicles to have to refuse giving such assistance, particularly to elderly people?
§ Mr. LawI think that the concession which my hon. and gallant Friend suggests would be open to considerable abuse, and I regret, therefore, that it is not thought desirable to adopt it.
