HC Deb 12 June 1940 vol 361 cc1259-60
30. Mr. Mander

asked the Prime Minister whether the offices of chief diplomatic, economic and industrial advisers to the Government still exist, and by whom they are held?

Mr. Attlee

The post of Chief Diplomatic Adviser is held by the right hon. Sir Robert Vansittart; that of Chief Economic Adviser continues to be held by Sir Frederick Leith-Ross, who is, however, seconded for duty as Director-General of the Ministry of Economic Warfare; the post of Chief Industrial Adviser no longer exists.

Mr. Mander

Mr. Attlee

Certainly, Sir.,
