HC Deb 20 August 1940 vol 364 c1113
34. Mr. David Adams

asked the Secretary for Mines whether it is his intention, before the Recess, to make a statement as to the position of the coal trade generally, and particularly with reference to the export areas of the coalfields?

Mr. Grenfell

I am sorry to say that it has not been possible to find time for this before the House rises.

Mr. Adams

When does the Minister expect to be able to make such a report and statement?

Mr. Grenfell

As soon as I have a chance. I am eager to do so.
