HC Deb 08 August 1940 vol 364 cc422-3
Mr. Wedgwood

A week ago, the Home Secretary answered a Question of mine, concerning a Jewish refugee in the Isle of Man. With a certain amount of scorn, I asked in a Supplementary Question, whether he was aware that the man had meanwhile been sent to Australia. He has not been sent to Australia. The Home Secretary was right, and I was wrong. I had inexcusably muddled two cases of internees in the Isle of Man. I owe, both to this House and to the right hon. Gentleman, a very sincere apology.

Sir J. Andersons

May I say how greatly I appreciate the right hon. Gentleman's courtesy?
