HC Deb 06 August 1940 vol 363 cc24-5
43. Mr. R. C. Morrison

asked the Home Secretary whether he will make it clear that the Regulations for entering prescribed areas will not debar relatives of wounded men in hospitals within these areas from visiting them?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Home Security (Mr. Mabane)

Yes, Sir. It was made clear in a recent announcement that persons wishing to visit sick relatives in a Defence Area will ordinarily be allowed to do so. This, of course, applies equally to visits by relatives to wounded members of His Majesty's Forces.

Mr. Sorensen

Will that apply also to civilians who wish to visit sick relatives?

Mr. Mabane

I said so.
