§ Mr. ElliotPrecise information as to number of insured persons in England and Wales who have been in receipt of sickness and disablement benefit continuously for a year or more is not available, but it is estimated that the number of such persons amounts to approximately 250,000, of whom 150,000 are men and 100,000 are women.
