HC Deb 23 November 1937 vol 329 cc1014-5
17. Mr. T. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that the air-raid precautions department have refused to consider a scheme for the duplication of the dam at Loch Katrine, the source of Glasgow's water supply; and will he be prepared to arrange for a reconsideration of that decision in the interests of Glasgow's need to safeguard its water supply?

Mr. Elliot

This and other matters relating to air-raid precautions in Scotland have been receiving the attention of the Government, but I am sure the hon. Member will appreciate that it would not be in the public interest to make any statement.
