§ 62. Mr. Guyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland the number of local authorities which make contributions to the Scottish Travel Association; and the total amount contributed in the last financial year?
§ Mr. ElliotI am informed that during the local financial year 1936–37, 103 local authorities have contributed towards the funds of the Scottish Travel Association. The total amount so contributed during the last five years is £1,944 6s.
§ Mr. GuyDoes not my right hon. Friend consider that it would be to the advantage of the different authorities if they increased these contributions?
§ Mr. ElliotI think that it would be, and I hope that they will increasingly support this association in future.
