HC Deb 20 July 1936 vol 315 c15
29. Lieut.-Commander FLETCHER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he proposes to take for the negotiation of a western pact and of an air pact with Germany in view of the failure of Germany to answer the British questionnaire; and whether the hope of concluding such pact is now regarded as in abeyance?

Mr. EDEN

The matter is at present under consideration and I am not, therefore, in a position to make any further statement.
