HC Deb 10 December 1936 vol 318 c2167
48. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the staff conversations held between representatives of Great Britain, France and Belgium earlier in the year were for the purpose of giving information only; and whether any provisional technical arrangements for joint action in the event of unprovoked aggression were made?

The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Eden)

I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to a question by the hon. Member on 2nd December on this subject.

Mr. MANDER

As in that reply the right hon. Gentleman did not deal with the latter part of the question, would he be good enough to do so now?

Mr. EDEN

I gave the House full information about these conversations at the end of May. There have been no conversations since that date, and therefore I have nothing more to add.
