HC Deb 07 June 1935 vol 302 c2181
1. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Western air pact will include arrangements for effective collaboration between the chief staffs of the parties to the agreement; arid whether facilities will be offered in due course for the 25 other European countries to become parties to the pact?

The LORD PRIVY SEAL (Mr. Eden)

I cannot at present add anything to the statements made in the course of the debates on the 22nd May and on Friday last.

Mr. MANDER

If I put down a question in two or three weeks' time, will my right hon. Friend be able to make some communication then?

Mr. EDEN

I cannot say. As the House knows, we are in negotiation, and I think we must be allowed to carry that negotiation through.
