Mr. REAasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the scheme published some years ago for the provision of a through north-to-west traffic way by the prolongation of Conduit Street to Berkeley Square; and whether the forthcoming opening of the extension of Curzon Street into Berkeley Square provides an opportunity for creating such a thoroughfare at a reasonable cost in anticipation of the erection of new buildings on the site?
§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAMy attention has not been drawn to the particular scheme to which the hon. Member refers, but I am prepared to give immediate consideration to any such scheme if it be submitted to me by the responsible highway authority.
