§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAI am informed by the London and North Eastern Railway Company that full particulars of the schemes recently under their consideration have been submitted to the Standing Joint Committee of the London Transport Board and the four main line companies. They have not yet come to any decision. The railway company assure me that in the meantime they are doing all that is in their power to maintain an efficient and punctual service. The stock is being progressively renewed and the new stock provided is of the most modern type.
§ Sir W. SUGDENWill the hon. Gentleman remember that the same position has been taken up by the railway company for the last seven years?
