HC Deb 19 April 1934 vol 288 cc1105-6
31. Mr. DUNCAN

asked the Minister of Transport if he will give adequate time between the publication of his amendment to the 1930 Traffic Act dealing with contract carriages and its discussion on the Committee stage of the Bill, to enable the trade interests concerned to make any representations thereon?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of TRANSPORT (Lieut.-Colonel Headlam)

My hon. Friend hopes to be in a position to place this amendment on the Order Paper at a very early date, so that the interests concerned will have ample time to consider it before it is discussed in Committee upstairs.
