HC Deb 21 June 1933 vol 279 c766
49. Mr. T. SMITH

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any recent Treasury Bills have been taken up from funds lying in the Post Office Savings Bank; and, if so, will he state the dates of such transactions and the amounts?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

In the last three months Treasury Bills to an aggregate amount of £250,000 were purchased by the Post Office Savings Bank. There were three transactions, two in March and one this month. All were in the ordinary course of business.
