Mr. NUNNasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has further considered the desirability of removing the British Legation in China to Nanking or, at least, of ensuring that His Majesty's Minister shall reside permanently at Nanking or Shanghai; and, if not, whether he will do so?
§ Mr. EDENYes, Sir; my right hon. Friend has carefully considered the question. He does not, however, consider that any change in the existing arrangements is at present either necessary or desirable.
