Mr. J. H. THOMASAppointments to the services of the territories of the South Africa High Commission are ordinarily made locally in South Africa, but vacancies are filled from time to time by the transfer of officers from the Colonial Service or by appointments from this country.
§ Colonel WEDGWOODWill the right hon. Gentleman say whether the same principles as to our trusteeship of native interests prevail in these Protectorates as in the Colonial Office?
