HC Deb 07 March 1932 vol 262 c1461
18. Mr. HANNON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether in the recent disturbances in Finland, the safety of British nationals in that country is in any way imperilled; and if any steps have been taken by His Majesty's Government to safeguard British interests during the crisis which has arisen in that country?

Mr. EDEN

I have received no information implying that the safety of British nationals is at present imperilled in Finland, and no special steps to safeguard them have therefore appeared necessary.

Mr. HANNON

Can the hon. Gentleman say whether the insurrection is now over as reported in the newspapers?

Mr. EDEN

We have no information beyond what my hon. Friend has seen in the Press.
