HC Deb 23 June 1932 vol 267 c1249
37. Mr. McENTEE

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the prolongation of the average expectation of life for a man and a woman aged 20, as shown by the figures for the years from 1890 to 1930, it is proposed to introduce legislation restricting the premiums on industrial insurance?

Major ELLIOT

A Departmental Committee is at present inquiring into the law and practice relating to industrial assurance, and till the committee has reported and its report has been considered it is not proposed to introduce any legislation concerning industrial assurance.
