HC Deb 09 July 1931 vol 254 c2253
38. Mr. MARCUS

asked the Minister of Health if it is the intention of the Government to introduce legislation this Session in consequence of the recommendations of the committee appointed to investigate the operation of the Rent Restrictions Acts?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I do not anticipate that it will be possible to introduce any such legislation in the present Session.

Mr. W. J. BROWN

Is it the case that this prospective legislation has been crowded out by the Government's legislation to reduce unemployment benefit?

Mr. GREENWOOD

No, Sir. We are awaiting the report of the committee set up to investigate the matter.
