asked the Minister of Health the number of persons who since June, 1929, have been refused their application for an old age pension?

Mr. GREENWOOD

42,983 applications for old age pensions under the Contributory Pensions Acts have been rejected since 1st June, 1929.

Does the Minister wish to amend any of his undertakings or pledges in reference to this question?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The right hon. Gentleman asked me that question last week, and I said, "No, Sir."
