HC Deb 22 January 1931 vol 247 c349
54. Mr. GOSSLING

asked the Minister of Health how many local authorities have sent in a general statement of the measures which they propose to take during the five next succeeding years for the provision of further housing accommodation; and what is the number of houses each local authority proposes to build in the five next succeeding years under the 1924 Act and the 1930 Act?

Mr. GREENWOOD

Two hundred; and twenty-four local authorities have so far submitted programmes in pursuance of Section 25 (2) of the Housing Act, 1930. I will send my hon. Friend a statement of the detailed information which he desires.

Mr. MALONE

What steps are being taken to obtain statements from the other local authorities who are behind hand?

Mr. GREENWOOD

They have all been reminded. They are coming in day by day now, and I hope shortly to be in a position to give the whole of the information.
