HC Deb 02 December 1931 vol 260 c1092
64. Mr. POTTER

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that there are complaints at the delay in settling claims for repayments of Income Tax; and whether he will give instructions to the Department concerned with a view to expediting the settlement of such claims?

Major ELLIOT

If my hon. Friend will give me particulars of any case in which there has been undue delay in refunding tax under a repayment claim, I will certainly cause inquiry to be made and will communicate the result to him in due course.
