HC Deb 27 November 1930 vol 245 c1498
84. Colonel HOWARD-BURY

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the housing conditions at Mountnessing, he will hold an inquiry into the matter?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I understand that the Billericay Rural District Council have decided to build a number of houses to meet the need for working-class houses in Mountnessing and other parishes in the rural district and that they are now in active negotiation for the purchase of sites to serve this and other parishes. In the circumstances I do not think there would be advantage in the holding at the present time of such an inquiry as is suggested.
