Mr. PALMER (for Mr. BOWEN)asked the Minister of Health the total number of houses built by the Alsager Urban District Council under State-aided housing schemes since 1920; whether he has received any application or communication from such local authority asking for the endorsement of or affecting any proposed housing scheme; and whether he will urge the council concerned to make adequate provision to meet the needs and requirements of their district?
§ Mr. GREENWOODSixty-three houses have been built since 1920 with the aid 2353 of subsidies in this district; these houses were all built by private enterprise. I have not received any communication from the council in the matter or any complaint from other sources of a deficiency in the supply of houses in the district.
