HC Deb 24 April 1929 vol 227 c871
29. Mr. WESTWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the number of widows who, having received widows' pensions, have now ceased to receive them owing to the youngest child having reached six months more than 14 years of age?

The SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Sir John Gilmour)

The number is 4,607.

Mr. SHINWELL

What has become of those widows now?
