HC Deb 27 February 1928 vol 214 cc9-10
27. Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies why Mr. Kadalie has been refused permission to organise branches of his African union in any Crown Colony or protectorate or territory over which we have a mandate?

Mr. AMERY

If the right hon. and gallant Member will let me know to.

Mr. WARDLAW-MILNE

Is lbn Saud in agreement with the British policy of reprisals on the raiders; and is he being consulted in the matter?

Mr. AMERY

When a raid is actually in your territory killing your people it is not easy to consult with a potentate with whom you are not in telegraphic communication.
