HC Deb 28 March 1927 vol 204 c839
7. Mr. GARDNER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the services of Mr. F. Noyce, the late president of the Indian Tariff (Cotton Textile Inquiry) Board, have been placed at the disposal of the Royal Commission on Agriculture in India; and, if so, whether he will state in what capacity?

Earl WINTERTON

Mr. Noyce's services have been placed at the disposal of the Royal Commission in the capacity of attached officer. As such he will generally assist the chairman, and in particular will advise on the financial implications of any measures that may be contemplated. When the Commission is in England Mr. Noyce's positron will be that of an Assistant Commissioner.
