HC Deb 30 March 1925 vol 182 c938
63. Major Sir BERTRAM FALLE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he accepts the findings of the Retired Naval Officers' Retired Pay Inquiry Committee appointed by the late Government, or if he will, in view of the close voting of that Committee and of the strong feeling on the subject, appoint another Committee to inquire into the matter?

Mr. DAVIDSON

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given to him on the 17th December and also to that given to the hon. Member for Devon-port on the 19th February.

Sir B. FALLE

May I ask the Prime Minister if he will, as soon as the Recess is over, receive a small deputation on the matter?

Major HORE-BELISHA

Is the hon. Member aware that the legal aspect of this matter was not examined, although before the Inquiry was set up a promise was made that every aspect of the case would be looked into?

Mr. DAVIDSON

If the hon. Member will look at the reply given on 19th February, which is very long and exhaustive, he will find that that aspect is dealt with.
