§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSMore than one half the issue has been made, and it is hoped to complete it within a month. The delay is due to failure of the contractor to make deliveries according to the contract.
§ Mr. HAYESIs this due to the contractors having more orders than they can cope with? If so, is it possible for contracts to be handed over to those places where there is unemployment?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSI think the hon. Gentleman will be perfectly satisfied when I say that I have been breathing fire and slaughter amongst the contractors.
§ Major HORE-BELISHAIs the right hon. Gentleman going to wait till spring or summer before issuing these winter gloves?
