HC Deb 03 December 1925 vol 188 c2483
29. Mr. TINKER

asked the Home Secretary if a decision has been reached in regard to the inclusion of bursitis in the schedule of industrial diseases for miner's beat knee?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

Proposals for amending the present descriptions in the schedule of miner's beat knee and miner's beat elbow were referred by me in July last to the Mining Association and Miners' Federation for observations, but neither body has so far furnished me with its views on the subject and at the present moment when they are so much occupied with other matters I should be reluctant to press for a reply.

Mr. TINKER

What information does the right hon. Gentleman want?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

I want the views of the two bodies named, on the suggestion of the hon. Gentleman, as to whether this disease shall be included in the Industrial Diseases Schedule; I want the fullest information before I take action.
