§ Mr. BETTERTONThe latest figures available are those for the 27th June, at which date, according to returns received, the number of men directly employed on State-aided schemes of relief work was 100,753. The figures take no account of the employment provided indirectly, e.g., in the preparation and transport of materials, etc.
