HC Deb 01 August 1923 vol 167 cc1437-8
4. Captain MARGESSON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps His Majesty's Government have taken to protect Mr. John Dodge's trading interests in Russia, which were established after the Anglo-Russian trade agreement was signed; and if the Government has done anything to clear up the misunderstanding which led to Mr. Dodge's arrest last August and his expulsion from Russia together with his manager, Mr. James Jackson?

Mr. McNEILL

His Majesty's Government are still in communication with the British Agent at Moscow with a view to obtaining satisfaction for Mr. Dodge's treatment at the hands of the Soviet authorities.
