§ Mr. BONAR LAWI cannot add anything to previous replies on this subject.
§ Lieut.-Colonel CROFTIn view of the facts which were given to the effect that the state of affairs was continued owing to the needs of the War, will the right hon. Gentleman consider whether it is not now advisable to make some statement on the subject?
§ Mr BONAR LAWI do not think any statement is necessary. It goes without saying that people will not be employed unless in exceptional circumstances where by any possibility it can be avoided.
