HC Deb 04 March 1919 vol 113 cc217-8
52. Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the fact that, owing to Government action, the country is paying £2 to £3 per quarter more for wheat than it need; and whether this is due to lack of ships or to the desire to keep up agricultural prices?

The MINISTER of FOOD (Mr. Roberts)

I have been asked to reply, and would inform the hon. and gallant Member that the answer to his question was printed in yesterday's OFFICIAL REPORT.

Colonel WEDGWOOD

Why, when I gave notice to postpone it to to-day, was it printed yesterday?
